I had seen quite a lot of the photographs of Imogen by unexpectedtales and there was a sense of mystery emanating from her , even in very straight-forward close-ups. I’ve just now read about Imogen. The book. Some photographs are great (a gem of the genre), some are just beautiful. But I find it striking because it’s a performance strewn across 140 photos; and throughout you keep wondering who is this woman, what is she to the photographer, and you fall in love with the masks Imogen wears for the camera, and hope you’ll meet someone who’ll wear them for you.
